How does the interior of your elevator look? Is it scratched and dented? Will it cost you a fortune to fix? One way to make sure your elevator is upgraded and aesthetically pleasing to the eye, is to hire an elevator consultant. Consultants have a lot of experience working with companies in regard to upgrading elevators and making sure that all code requirements are met.

When talking about cab interior upgrades, consultants usually talk about upgrading wall panels most. Keep in mind that this doesn’t include the control panel, the ceiling, or the doors. After the building lobby, people will look at the building aesthetics, including your elevators. The typical rule is to have your wall panels modernized every ten years.

Your current elevator provider is responsible for installing new wall panels. They will give you a quote beforehand so there are no surprises. Some bigger companies have their own internal products while a lot of other companies will use third party vendors. One benefit to using your existing maintenance company is that if you experience issues a year down the line, you can hold them accountable.
